We have the sad duty to communicate that Jaroslav Smítal passed away on 9th March 2022. He was not only an excellent mathematician but also a very good friend to all of us. Because of this very sad event we decided to dedicate ECIT 2022 to the memory of Jaroslav Smítal.
The 23rd European Conference on Iteration Theory (ECIT 2022) dedicated to the memory of Jaroslav Smítal will take place in Reichenau an der Rax (Austria) between Monday, 13th June 2022 and Friday, 17th June 2022. The conference will be held in association with the International Society of Difference Equations (ISDE).
Originally it was planned between 15th June 2020 and 19th June 2020. Because of COVID-19 it had to be postponed for 2021, between 27th June 2021 and 1st July 2021. Again because of COVID-19 it had to be postponed for 2022.
