In this talk, we use a modified genetic algorithm to show the feasibility of concurrent model selection and optimization. In particular, we use zebra mussel data from Lake Champlain in Vermont to verify our technique. We show that our results are in agreement with the hydrodynamic features of the lake and the life history of the invasive species. |
