"On dynamics of Lorenz maps - Renormalizations and primary $n(k)$-cycles"

Cholewa, Łukasz

Lorenz maps are one-dimensional maps with a single discontinuity, which appear in a natural way as Poincarè maps in geometric models of well-known Lorenz attractor. The main object considered in this talk will be renormalizations of expanding Lorenz maps and their connections with some special periodic orbits (so-called primary $n(k)$-cycles), invariant sets, rotation number and matching property. The talk will be based on a joint work with Piotr Oprocha (AGH University of Science and Technology).
