"Tensor product continuous frame multipliers"

Teofanov, Nenad

Frame multipliers are defined by a fixed multiplication pattern (the symbol) which is inserted between the analysis and synthesis operators. In this lecture we are interested in the tensor product setting for continuous frame multipliers. As a preparation, in the first part of the lecture we review some recent results on continuous frames in tensor product Hilbert spaces. We will also discuss some interesting features related to dual frames in this context. In the second part of our talk we consider compact multipliers, and bilinear localization operators as particular examples of continuous frame multipliers. A specific feature in the context of tensor products is the notion of partial trace. By using the partial trace theorem we will offer an interpretation of tensor product continuous frame multipliers as density operators for bipartite quantum systems. This is joint work with Peter Balazs.
