"Geometric and Analytic Aspects of Low-Rank Positive Semidefinite Matrices"Balan, RaduIn this talk we review some recent results on Lipschitz embeddings and Whitney stratification of spaces of low-rank matrices. We introduce several metrics and show relationships between them. Unexpectedly the case of rank-two and higher is quite different than the rank-one case.
